Can I use my own kayak?

No, only kayaks provided by the event are permitted to be used. Both double and single sit on-tops will be used during the race. Competitors will, were possible, have a choice of which type of kayak they use. All competitors will be timed out while waiting for a kayak and to fit your buoyancy aids. Once in the kayak, the timer will begin again. This is not optional and is in the interest of fairness to all competitors.
